This post was intended to go up on Monday. But I wanted to make a reel to go with it.
And the reel was refusing to reel.
So I tried, and tried again.
Until finally, we made it.
Alhamdulillaah.

1. Hasan and Aneesa love Ramadan:
This is definitely in our top 3 Ramadan themed books.
I love that it includes the important elements of Ramadan (Qur’aan, Charity, Sahur, Iftaar) and commendable acts (like spending time with family and gifting non-Muslim neighbors in the spirit of Ramadan) in a very easy-to-read story.
A child gets to experience the excitement of Ramadan through lenses they can relate too (young Muslim characters).
We really love this one, Allahumma baarik.
Helping others and Caring for Orphans:
So these books aren’t about Ramadan, but I added them to our list for the values they teach. Ramadan is a month of spiritual refinement and some of the easiest goals to help young children set are character based. Early years are the years of ta’dib (teaching adab) anyway.
It also ties well into our Homeschool Co-oo Ramadan project for this year.
These books we loveeeeee. They’re part of their 12 part akhlaaq building series.
We are building a collection.
So…
Will you be getting (reading) any of these books or were my 6 attempts at recording a reel for nothing?
Don’t air me please.
Your sister-in-striving,
Fatimah
On the road to Ihsan.
