Reflective Journaling is a wonderful tool for accountability, goal setting and character refinement.
Bring yourselves to account before you are called to account.
- Umar Ibn Khattab (radiyAllahu anhu)
As Ramadan approaches, many of us are looking for ways to prepare ourselves spiritually and mentally for the month of fasting and reflection. One powerful tool that can help with this preparation is reflective journaling.
That's why I'm excited to announce this 30 Day Journaling Challenge, designed to help you reflect on where you are, set intentions for the month, and get you started on your prep for Ramadan.
Starting on Rajab 10 (4th of February), I'll be sending out daily prompts and exercises via email to help guide your journaling practice, in shaa Allah.
For 30 days in shaa Allah, I will be holding your hand through guided reflective journaling and exercises.
Whether you're a seasoned journaler or new to the practice, this challenge is for you. All you need is a notebook, a pen and the right intention(s).
I’ll also be sharing my “guide to journaling” ebook to get you started.
By participating in this challenge, you'll be able to:
Reflect on your current state and relationship with Allah
Assess your previous Ramadan
Set intentions for the upcoming Ramadan
Gain clarity on your goals by reflecting and make them more concrete by writing
Learn (or revise) 30 Ahadith on Ramadan and Fasting with each email

The month of Ramadan has come, a blessed month in which Allah Almighty has obligated you to fast. In it the gates of the heavens are opened, and in it the gates of Hellfire are closed, and in it the devils are chained, and in it is a night that is better than a thousand months. Thus, whoever is deprived of its good is truly deprived.
